A quick note for all concerned, Ev went through her 7th Radiation treatment on Friday Feb 4th, 2011. She is very tired and does a lot of sleeping and just relaxing. Last Thursday, I had to go to the VA in Gainsville which tired her out also. This coming Thursday, we have to go to Gainsville again. Please, be patient? She will be on again as soon as she regains some strength, which, will very likely be when she's completed her radiation. Keep checking this page for future updates. I'll do my best to keep you informed.

Bob (her loving hubby)

Hello again;

I'm so sorry I haven't written for such a long time. Things have been very hectic around here. Every day going back and forth to the Cancer Center for radiation treatments. She finally completed the radiation treatments on Monday March 21 and is very happy about that. That day she also saw Dr. Sullivan who works mainly with the chemo patients. He has her on Arimidex which is an estrogen blocker. As we understand what he explained, this type of cancer feeds off the hormones so if that "food" is unavailable, the cancer cannot live and therefore dies off. She has to be on these pills, which are quite tiny, for up to five years, but they don't seem to bother her in any way.
